Material and methods: Systematic review that synthesizes the results of multiple investigations, identifying the most relevant to answer specific questions of daily practice. The search was restricted to articles with full text subjected to critical reading, using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, finding that 40% (4/10) correspond to Europe (Holland, Norway, Spain and Italy), and 30% (3/10) to Asia (Iran and Indonesia). 20% (2/10) to North America (Canada and the United States), 10% (01) to Latin America (Brazil). These are mostly 80% systematic reviews and 20% (2/10) randomized studies. 100% (10/10) of the studies affirm the effectiveness of music therapy in improving the physiological and emotional parameters of premature neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Conclusions: The effectiveness of the studies shows that music therapy is effective in improving the physiological and emotional parameters of premature neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
