    Burnout syndrome and job performance, a project that will be developed in its second phase in the Intensive Care Unit area at the Santa María del Socorro Hospital in Ica., in the first quarter of 2023, where professionals will participate nursing in that area. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and work performance in nursing staff of the Adult Intensive Care Unit of the Santa María del Socorro Hospital in Ica -2023. METHODOLOGY: It will be carried out under a hypothetical deductive method, with a basic quantitative approach, descriptive-correlational level, non-experimental design, with a sample of 50 nurses, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale measurement instrument will be applied. ) proposed by Maslach and Jackson (1986) to Burnout Syndrome, to measure work performance, the measurement instrument prepared by Rivera and Martínez (2021) will be applied, taking into account the ethical aspect, since it has the respective authorization to apply the instruments and informed consent for those who are part of this research, the treatment of data ethically analyzed and processed in the SPSS vs. 26 and presented through tables and graphs using descriptive and inferential statistics.
