Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice of nursing staff in the management of the polytraumatized patient in the emergency department of a clinic in Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-25) Ortiz López, Laumary Josefina; Camarena Chamaya, Luis MiguelThe general objective of this research project is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of nursing staff in the management of the polytrauma patient in the emergency department of a clinic in Lima, 2023. The study population will consist of 80 nurses working in the emergency service. The study method used is hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational level. The technique used to obtain information for the knowledge variable will be the survey, and for practices, it will be observation. The first instrument is the "Questionnaire on Knowledge of Polytrauma Patient Management," and the "Checklist on Nursing Care Practices for the Polytrauma Patient." Both instruments have been validated by expert judgments in the field and have a reliability of 0.759 and 0.77, respectively, as measured by the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The obtained results will be organized and transferred to a database for calculations and statistical analysis, and then processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Likewise, the chi-square test will be used for the comparison of related results.
