Ítem Acceso abierto Elasticity of the iliopsoas, flexibility of the lumbar spine and hyperlordosis in patients with low back pain from a hospital in the city of La Merced, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-26) Osorio Peralta, Ximena Threycy; Vera Arriola, Juan AméricoLow back pain is defined as pain that extends from the edge of the last ribs to the gluteal area. Approximately 90% of people will experience low back pain at some point in their lives, making it the leading cause of work disability worldwide. On the other hand, the biomechanics of the spine can be affected by various activities, leading to improper alignment that causes stress and tension, not only at the bone level but also at the joint, ligament, and muscle levels, causing contractures, muscle shortening in the iliopsoas, pelvic anteversion, and hyperlordosis, which in turn affects lumbar flexibility.
