Ítem Acceso abierto Intra-family relationships and antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-03) Pérez Aguilar, Eysaboe Catherine; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThis study aimed to determine the relationship between the quality of intrafamily relationships and antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents in Lima in 2022. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design. Two instruments were applied: the Intrafamily Relationship Evaluation Scale (E.R.I.) and the Childhood and Adolescent Antisocial Behavior Questionnaire (CASIA) to a sample of 112 institutionalized adolescents. The main data analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rho correlation, revealing a correlation coefficient of -.631 with statistical significance of p < .05 and an effect size of .398. This result indicates a significant relationship between the quality of intrafamily relationships and antisocial behavior in the studied adolescents. In conclusion, it was found that the quality of intrafamily relationships plays an important role in adolescent antisocial behavior. Specifically, adolescents who maintain strong and healthy family relationships tend to exhibit fewer antisocial behaviors. This suggests that strengthening family relationships can be an effective strategy to mitigate antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents.
