Ítem Acceso abierto Safety culture in the prevention of adverse events in nurses of the emergency unit of the Guillermo Almenara National Hospital, Lima – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-24) Pérez Albela Sierra, Jesús Humberto; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: Nurses adopt certain beliefs and attitudes in their practice to ensure that patients do not suffer avoidable or potential harm during health care, known as patient safety culture. This aspect is a crucial component of quality in emergency services, where it is estimated that adverse events occur between 1.6 and 14%. Objective: "To determine how the perception of patient safety culture is related to the prevention of adverse events in nurses of the emergency unit of the Guillermo Almenara National Hospital, Lima - 2023". Methods: Following the hypothetical - deductive method, under a quantitative approach, an applied research of non-experimental design, correlational level and cross-sectional cut will be embodied in a census sample of 96 nurses to whom a survey will be applied to know the perception of patient safety culture using a Peruvian questionnaire that has a proven validity and a reliability of Cronbach's alpha = 0.85; likewise the perception of the prevention of adverse events will be measured with a valid questionnaire and reliability α = 0.89. The results will be analyzed using statistical programs such as SPSS 26. The results will be presented and discussed in tables and figures.
