The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between the variables of the teaching role as evaluator and soft skills in the students at a particular university. The methodology used was applied, using the hypothetical deductive method with a quantitative approach. The design was non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional. The community was made up of students from a metropolitan University of Lima. The technique used was survey, which made it posible to collect information on the variables through an evaluation test and two instruments that were adjusted by a Likert scale. In the main result, the existence of a significant relationship was found between the teacher´s role as evaluator and soft skills. In relation, the Sperman coefficient (0.365) indicates that the degree of correlation between the variables is low and positive; As the teacher´s role as evaluator is very adequate, the leve lof students´soft skills Will be high. It concludes by indicanting that the teacher plays a fundamental role in this process and his or her approach may vary according to different theories and pedagogical approaches. The role of the teacher as an evaluator may vary according to educational philosophies and specific contexts.
