Ítem Acceso abierto Functional level and quality of life in children with infant cerebral palsy from the Neurokids center, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-28) Pachas Enciso, Katherine Janeth; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioCerebral palsy negatively affects the quality of life of children who suffer from it. This includes physical well-being, psychological status, independence, social relationships, personal ideologies, and their connection to key environmental factors. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines quality of life as personal perceptions of life perspectives, considering culture and values, linked to goals, expectations, patterns, and concerns. The relationship between quality of life and functional impairments is observed in most individuals with cerebral palsy. Interventions and effects of this syndrome regarding the perceptions of functional limitations of affected individuals have been one of the main uncertainties when evaluating a patient.
