    Knowledge of breastfeeding and its relationship with the breastfeeding technique in mothers who are attended at the Centro Materno Infantil Virgen del Carmen, Lima ‐ 2023

    Introduction: Breastfeeding in the world continues to be a public health priority due to a series of sociocultural and biological factors, since it guarantees the development of the child in its later stages, hence the intervention of Pediatric Nursing to ensure this act of love in the first days of the baby's life. Objective: "To determine how knowledge of breastfeeding is related to breastfeeding technique in mothers attending the Centro Materno Infantil Virgen del Carmen, Lima - 2023". Methods: Following the hypothetical - deductive method, under a quantitative approach, an applied research of non-experimental design, correlational level and cross-sectional cut will be embodied in a sample of 93 parturient mothers in joint accommodation to whom a survey will be applied to measure the level of knowledge of breastfeeding through a Peruvian questionnaire that has a validity V of Aiken = 0.97 and a reliability of KR-20 = 0.84; Similarly, mothers will be observed to measure compliance with the breastfeeding technique using a process observation guide that has an IB validity (p=0.000) and a reliability of KR-20= 0.80. The results will be analyzed using statistical programs such as SPSS 26. The results will be presented and discussed in tables and figures.
