    This research carried out at the Hospital Nacional 2 de Mayo, the general objective was to determine the factors related to complications in patients undergoing colonoscopy at the endoscopic center, Lima 2018. The hypothetico-deductive method was applied, taking into account a quantitative approach, being an applied type of research, and a non-experimental correlational design. The population was made up of 337 patients who attended the gastroenterology endoscopic center, whose sample consisted of 180 patients to whom two data collection sheets were applied to measure the variable factors and complications. The results with the chi-square coefficient showed that there is a relationship level of 0.739, with a significance of 0.000, that is, less than 0.05, which led to the conclusion that there is a significant relationship between risk factors and complications in the population. underwent colonoscopy at the endoscopic center of the National Hospital 2 de Mayo.
