Ítem Acceso abierto Percentage of hemolysis in red blood cell concentrates during their storage in the blood bank of the Delgado Clinic, period August - September 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-12) Yataco Poma, Jessica Jane; Arocutipa Ccopa, María Elena; Palacios Butrón, Fernando SarcoThe blood storage system for red blood cell concentrates in a blood bank aims to counteract the damage caused by the metabolic machinery within the hematocyte membrane to improve its post-transfusion viability.Ítem Acceso abierto Phenotypic characteristics of the Rh and Kell System of the Venezuelan immigrant population in Peru, by voluntary blood donation at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-04) Calachahuin Rondan, Eddie Frankie; Palacios Butrón, Fernando SarcoThe Rh and Kell system antigens are proteins with high immunological potency, causing an immune response in individuals who do not possess them. The phenotyping of these antigens reduces the risk of potential adverse reactions and alloimmunization that recipients may experience.Ítem Acceso abierto Serological markers in blood donors treated at a Level III National Hospital and a Level III Specialized Reference Center 2014-2016(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-30) Rivas Cárdenas, Arturo Alexander; Palacios Butrón, Fernando SarcoThe significant impact on public health from the transmission of infections through blood transfusion occurs not only globally but also nationally, which is why we are not immune to this issue. This is especially true in a system where health centers are not interconnected, and the differences between centers receiving voluntary donors are noticeable, as they do not follow statistical reports that would allow for analysis and strengthening of programs for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore, it is important to determine the most recurrent serological markers in blood donors attended at a National Hospital of III level compared to a III level Specialized Reference Center. This is a hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative applied approach, using an observational, cross-sectional design. The most recurrent serological markers were found in donors attended at a National Hospital of III level (6611) compared to the III level Specialized Reference Center (1076). The tests with the highest reactivity were anti-core of the hepatitis B virus (3404) and hepatitis B surface antigen (190). Lima is the department with the highest number of positive cases, with 4270 at the National III level Hospital and 823 at the III level Specialized Reference Center.Ítem Acceso abierto Transfusion of hemocomponents in oncology patients at the Oncosalud Clinic, June 2016 to June 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-14) Cáceres Leguía, Eulogio; Palacios Butrón, Fernando SarcoThe objective was to determine the correlation between renal profile and glycosylated hemoglobin levels in patients with diabetes mellitus treated at the María Auxiliadora Hospital in 2017." This was an observational, analytical-correlational, retrospective, and cross-sectional study, with a sample of 169 medical records of patients with diabetes mellitus. The instrument used was a data collection form developed by the researcher, and the data were collected using SPSS version 25. Results: 57.4% of the patients were male. The average values of the variables were: 1.05 mg/dL creatinine, 7.58% glycosylated hemoglobin, 230.32 mg of microalbuminuria in 24 hours, and 54.16 mg/dL for urea. The variables with the highest percentages were: Glycosylated hemoglobin, with 42% at the acceptable level; microalbuminuria, with 59.8% higher than 30 mg/24 hours; creatinine, with 65.7% at normal levels; and urea, with 51.5% at normal levels (15 to 40 mg/dL). There was a significant relationship between glycosylated hemoglobin and renal profile (p=0.485 with creatinine level, p=0.055 with microalbuminuria level, and p=0.768 with urea level).Ítem Acceso abierto Transfusion profile of patients treated with blood components in the emergency service of the national police hospital complex of Peru Luis N. Saenz, 2017 - 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-24) Carlos Diaz, Milton; Palacios Butrón, Fernando SarcoBlood transfusion therapy improves the clinical conditions of the patient, and its rational use allows for the proper distribution of blood components, making it necessary to know the transfusion profile of the population. The aim of this study was to describe the transfusion profile.
