The present secondary research entitled "Critical Review: Effect of early enteral nutrition in the postoperative period of patients with gastric cancer undergoing oncological surgery", aimed to analyze the effects (clinical outcomes and nutritional aspects) of early enteral nutrition 24 or 48 hours after oncological surgery in patients with gastric cancer. The clinical question was: Does early enteral nutrition improve clinical outcomes and nutritional aspects in patients with gastric cancer undergoing oncological surgery? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Scielo, Pubmed, Mdpi, Jboun, Ncbi, Science Direct, Hindawi, thus finding 21 articles, 10 being selected, which were evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the clinical trial titled as: “Effect of Early Enteral Nutrition Support Combined with Chemotherapy on Related Complications and Immune Function of Patients after Radical Gastrectomy”, which has a level of evidence AI and grade of recommendation strong, according to the expertise of the researcher. The clinical question was: What is the type of diet that improves the composition of the intestinal microbiota in patients under 75 years of age who suffer from chronic non-communicable diseases? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in PUBMED, NML, Cochrane Library, finding 36 articles, 10 were selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial entitled Mediterranean diet intervention in overweight and obese subjects lowers plasma cholesterol and causes changes in the gut microbiome and metabolome independently of energy intake, which has a level of evidence I and Grade of Recommendation Strong, according to the researcher's expertise. The information search was carried out in Pubmed, Plos One, Scielo, Wiley, among others, thus finding 46 articles, 12 being selected, which were evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the meta-analysis titled as: “Effect of vitamin D supplementation in polycystic ovary syndrome: A meta-analysis”, which has a level of evidence A II and a strong recommendation grade, according to the researcher's expertise. The randomized clinical trial titled 'Effect of high-dose vs. standard-dose vitamin D3 supplementation on progression-free survival in patients with advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer: The SUNSHINE randomized clinical trial' was chosen, possessing a level of evidence I and a strong recommendation grade. The critical commentary concluded that high-dose vitamin D improved survival in colorectal cancer patients compared to those who consumed the standard dose.
