Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of a nursing educational intervention in self-help to improve treatment adherence and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-02) Vilchez Vilcapoma, Maria Del Rosario; Palomino Buleje, Nadia Barbie; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioSystematic review of 10 scientific articles no older than 10 years, on the effectiveness of a self-help nursing educational intervention to improve adherence to treatment and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients, found in the databases: Scielo , Cochrane Plus. Lilacs, Pubmed, Medline, and analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine its quality of evidence and strength of recommendation. RESULT: Of the 10 articles reviewed: 20% are randomized controlled trials, 40% are Systematic Reviews, 20% are quasi-experimental trials, another 10% correspond to a prospective study and 10% are a cross-sectional descriptive study. 80% of the reviews indicate that various interventions significantly improve adherence to treatment and blood pressure control, with the nurse managing individualized education promoting self-care with telephone reinforcement, home visits, educational talks, and early care in the consultation, the use of teaching materials and telemedicine. However, 20% indicate that there are no differences and in some cases they do not reduce blood pressure and this is due to the heterogeneity of the interventions and the few existing studies. CONCLUSIONS: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 8 indicate the effectiveness of interventions to improve adherence to treatment and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients and 2 articles are discordant with some interventions to improve adherence and reduce blood pressure.Ítem Acceso abierto Overload and quality of life in the family caregiver of the patient with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis treatment in a private clinic in Lima in 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-13) Palomino Buleje, Nadia Barbie; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: The overload of the family caregiver triggers health problems that afflict life. The patient with chronic kidney disease becomes dependent on the different changes during the disease process, which makes the caregiver a servant to her care, leaving aside his personal care that puts his quality of life at risk. Objective: To determine how the overload is related to the quality of life in the family caregiver of the patient with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis treatment in a private clinic in Lima, 2023. Methods: This research will be of a hypothetical - deductive method with a quantitative approach, applied, with a non-experimental or observational, correlational and cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 60 relatives of the patients to whom two instruments were applied; the Zarit Scale to measure overload, made up of 22 items measured on the Likert scale, grouped into three dimensions. The other instrument will measure the quality of life with the Olson and Barnes scale, consisting of 25 items measured on the Likert scale and grouped into seven dimensions.
