Materials and methods: The work has a quantitative approach, the methodological design is descriptive and cross-sectional. The study has non-probabilistic sampling, census-based, where 55 nursing personnel from the Hipolito Unanue Hospital were selected as a sample. Results. The relationship of personal factors in their age dimension, there is low risk in 65.5% but with high risk in the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, they are related in 59%. The relationship of personal factors in its occupation dimension, there is low risk in 69.1% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, 77% are related. Personal factors in their service time dimension, there is low risk in 49.1% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, they are related in 71%. The relationship of personal factors in their workload dimension, have high risk in 63.6% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, both are related in 82%. The relationship of personal factors in its dimension self-care measures, have high risk in 63.6% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, both are related in 75%. The relationship of personal factors with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, where personal factor, has low risk in 43.6% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, both are related in 90%.
