Method: cross-sectional descriptive, the sample was 67 nursing professionals from the Intensive Care Unit - ICU service, a checklist was constructed which was validated by expert judgment and a pilot test for the reliability of the instrument. Results: it can be seen that 70.1% of the nursing professionals are male; 53.7% are between 31 and 40 years old; 34.3% have 8 to 12 years of service; 77.6% have 1 to 3 years working in the service. With reference to non-compliance in the registration of adverse events in nursing professionals of the intensive care unit of the Alberto Leopoldo Barton Thonpsom Hospital, 2019 it was found that 86.6% do not comply with the registration of adverse events and only 13.4% comply; In an analysis of the dimension concerning the personal factor, it was found that 67.2% do not comply with the registration of adverse events and only 32.8% comply; while, in the dimension linked to the institutional factor, it was found that 98.5% do not comply and 1.5% do comply. Conclusions: It was determined that the predominant factor associated with non-compliance with the registration of adverse events in nursing professionals at the Alberto Leopoldo Barton Thompson Hospital is the institutional one, since there is no monthly report of adverse events and there is no system. recording and monitoring of these events.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and practice in the management of traumatic brain injury among nurses in the intensive care unit of Alberto Barton Thompson Hospital, 2022.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-21) Paquiyauri Fernandez, Ercilia; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To understand the relationship between knowledge and practice in the management of traumatic brain injury among nurses in the intensive care unit of the Alberto Barton Thompson Hospital, 2022. Method: The research is applied and quantitative in approach. It has a relational scope and a cross-sectional design. The sample universe consists of 65 nursing professionals who meet the criteria for selection. Technique and instrument: The survey will be used to collect observations through a knowledge scale and a checklist to assess the procedures. The data collection period will range from September to November 2022 in the ICU service. Once the data is obtained, it will be transferred to an Excel database and then processed statistically using non-parametric tests due to the categorical and qualitative nature of the variables, applying the Spearman correlation coefficient to measure the magnitude of the association and test the hypothesis, all using SPSS 25.
