Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de conocimiento de los protocolos de bioseguridad frente a la COVID-19 de los comerciantes del mercado Sagrado Corazón de Jesús de San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-09) Parinango Cosme, Yessica Anamin; Oyarce Alvarado, ElmerThe objective of this research was to determine the level of knowledge of biosecurity protocols for COVID-19 among vendors at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Market in San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, in 2021. The research methodology was a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective design. A validated questionnaire was used to survey 134 vendors. Data collection followed inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results showed a high level of knowledge of biosecurity protocols for COVID-19 in 70% of all respondents. A high level of knowledge of biosecurity measures (65%) was also found, including the importance of biosecurity procedures and hand washing. There was a high level of knowledge regarding the management and disposal of personal protective equipment (65.8%), the basic clinical picture of COVID-19 (49.2%), and environmental disinfection and prevention in the market (68.3%). In conclusion, 70% of the vendors have a high level of knowledge of biosecurity protocols, while the remaining 30% do not have a clear understanding of these protocols.
