Publicación Acceso abierto Influencia del aprendizaje basado en problemas para el logro de competencias educativas en estudiantes universitarios de Ciencias de la Salud en dos sedes hospitalarias, Lima-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-29) Parvina Melgar, Luis Stalin; Herrera Álvarez, Ángela MaríaIn the national medical exam of the last ten years, 43% of students did not pass the exam. Of this group, the majority were from private universities. In addition, several Health Sciences programs have been created, some not accredited by SUNEDU. for not meeting the minimum quality standards, so active teaching methodologies must be implemented and known. The main objective was to analyze the influence of Problem-Based Learning towards educational Competencies in university students of Health Sciences in two hospital locations. It is an Applied quantitative study with a hypothetical deductive method of non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a causal correlational level. The technique used was a survey applying a questionnaire for each variable with 20 and 16 Likert-type questions. The sampling was nonprobabilistic by quotas of 114 students. The results obtained with the ordinal logistic regression showed that Problem-Based Learning contributes to educational competencies significantly (p=0.000, R2 Nagelkerke 0.291) and also with its three dimensions, cognitive (p=0.000, R2 Nagelkerke 0.227), procedural (p=0.007, R2 Nagelkerke 0.096) and attitudinal (p= 0.000, R2 Nagelkerke 0.21). In this sense, the study concludes that Problem-Based Learning exerts a significant influence in 29.1% towards educational Competencies because it provides university students of health sciences with the necessary tools to investigate, work as a team to solve problems daily in their hospital locations.
