Lima, 2021 Material and method: The research responds to the deductive method, has a quantitative approach, The research study is observational, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational level, the population that constitutes it is a total of 60 nurses from the neonatal intensive care unit of the San Bartolome Hospital, Lima, Peru. The survey technique was used and the instrument is the questionnaire, which describes the level of knowledge of the nurses of the neonatal intensive care unit called the Questionnaire on knowledge of percutaneous catheters aimed at nursing staff working in the neonatal intensive care unit. It was measured with the Kuder Richardson coefficient because the response is dichotomous. Cronbach's alpha value of 0.719. Likewise, the Guide to procedures on the care applied by nursing staff in the installation of the peripherally inserted venous catheter (PICC) in the Intensive Care Unit was used. It was measured using the statistical test of Cronbach's Alpha coefficient because the response is on a Lickert scale. Cronbach's alpha value of 0.793
