    Relación de la parasitosis intestinal con la anemia microcítica e hipocrómica en niños en edad escolar. Año 2015–2020

    The objective of this research was to relate intestinal parasitosis with microcytic and hypochromic anemia in school-age children. The methodology used a qualitative, applied, and descriptive design. A total of 467 studies from 2015 to 2020 were compiled and analyzed through a systematic review of databases such as Scielo, Alicia Concytec, Cochrane, PubMed, Medline, and Bireme. The studies were obtained via an exploratory search, adhering to the inclusion/exclusion criteria, the PICO strategy, and the PRISMA method. After screening, a total of 14 studies were retained. Results: The highest global percentage of parasitosis was in Brazil (98.0%), and the highest national percentage was in Cajamarca (95.9%). The highest percentages of anemia were in India (84.8%) globally and Huacho (59.3%) nationally. A significant relationship between parasitosis and anemia was found in most studies through the Odds Ratio analysis. Conclusion: Brazil and Peru present the highest rates of parasitosis, and India and Peru present the highest rates of anemia. A significant relationship was determined between these two pathologies.
