    Quality of life of ostomized patients, from the ONCOSALUD clinic

    A patient with an ostomy must face a radical change in lifestyle, accept their new physical condition, psychologically cope with the benefits of the ostomy, and learn to reintegrate into society, significantly impacting their quality of life. This research will determine the quality of life of ostomized patients, and the findings will guide nursing care planning according to their needs. The study will have a quantitative approach with a descriptive design, and through probabilistic sampling, it will include 68 patients with digestive ostomies (ileostomies and colostomies). Data collection will be done via a survey, and the instrument used will be the STOMA Qol questionnaire.
