    The use of a transparent dressing with 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate is a good alternative for the care of the central venous catheter insertion site. In addition to reducing costs, it decreases the number of manipulations due to its 7-day duration. It also allows for continuous visualization of the insertion site and provides greater safety for the patient, thus helping to prevent infection incidents.
