The influence of sexual education on young people who develop skills in their university education based on their current knowledge and which they add during personal development, has shown that the social, psychological and biological environment has a level of influence related to the achievement of competencies as university students. The objective of this research was to “Determine the influence of sexual education on the achievement of competencies in students of a private university in Lima” had a quantitative approach, hypothetical deductive research method, applied type, non-experimental design, causal correlational level, cross section, the population was 10,222 and its sample was 370 students from the I, II, III and IV cycle of general studies at a private university. The survey technique was used and the questionnaire was applied in person, 24 items on sexual education and 28 items on achievement of competence. The construct validity of both instruments with the Kaiser Meyer and Olkin value and Bartlett's sphericity was 0.710 and 0.952 and the significance level of Bartlett's sphericity was p=0.000, which indicates that both instruments were valid and can be applied. As it is a study at a causal correlational level, it will be tested using the coefficient of determination, p=0.009<0.05, so it is decided to accept the alternative hypothesis and the R2 Nagelkerke is 0.082, which indicates that the sexual education variable influences 8.2 %. in the achievement of competencies in students of a private university in Lima.
