Publicación Acceso abierto Actividad analgésica del extracto etanólico de la raíz Vallea stipularis L.F. "Chuillur" en ratones(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-18) Picho Hurtado, Katheryn Elizabeth; Chávez Flores, Juana ElviraThe investigation was carried out on the plant species Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur,” located in the district of Tamburco-Abancay-Apurímac, traditionally used by the local population as medicine for the treatment of scurvy, as a cicatrizant, for gastritis, rheumatism, drastic purgative, and analgesic. Objective: To verify the analgesic activity of the ethanolic extract of the root of Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur” in mice. Methods: The method of abdominal writhing induced by 0.8% acetic acid was employed. Forty-nine albino mice of the species Mus musculus strain Balb/C53/CNPB, of both sexes, were randomly distributed into seven groups. Ethanolic extracts at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg were used, as well as the standards Paracetamol Q.P. 300 mg/kg and Tramadol Hydrochloride Q.P. 40 mg/kg. These were administered orally, and 30 minutes later, 0.8% acetic acid was administered intraperitoneally. The animals were immediately observed for 20 minutes. Results: All groups showed a significant reduction (p value = 0.000), obtaining differentiated analgesic effects. The maximum effect was achieved with the 200 mg/kg extract, with 70% inhibition, surpassing Paracetamol (55%). Conclusions: It is concluded that the ethanolic extract of the root of the plant species Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur” has analgesic effect.
