Objective: To determine how service quality relates to self-medication for headaches in patients visiting two drugstores on José Carlos Mariátegui Avenue in Villa María del Triunfo, Lima, 2022. Method: The design was non-experimental, descriptive, with a quantitative approach, and a cross-sectional prospective design. The sample consisted of 260 patients. The survey technique was employed, and a questionnaire was used as the instrument. The study was conducted with 95% confidence. Results: The most surveyed age group was 30 to 59 years old, representing 48.8% (127), and the least surveyed was 60 years and older, representing 16.5% (43). The most surveyed gender was female at 59.2% (154). Regarding educational level, technical higher education represented the highest percentage at 40.4% (105), and those without any level of instruction represented the lowest percentage at 1.2% (3). Conclusion: No significant relationship exists between poor service quality and the self-medication of patients with headaches (p>0.05). Likewise, the Chi-squared value was 0.566, which indicates that no correlation exists.
