Publicación Acceso abierto Síntomas de climaterio asociados a dolor osteomuscular en mujeres mayores a 45 años en Asentamiento Humano Jaime Yoshiyama – Ventanilla, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-02-28) Canto Espinoza, Katherine Gianina; Poma Guillen, Yenny Geraldine; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe objective was to identify the relationship between climacteric symptoms and musculoskeletal pain in women over 45 years of age in the Jaime Yoshiyama Human Settlement – Ventanilla, 2024. Method. The study was basic type, quantitative approach, cross-sectional, non experimental design, hypothetical deductive method, correlational descriptive scope, the sample was 162 women, the data were collected by survey using a questionnaire, the hypothesis was contrasted with Spearman's Rho test. Results. 61.7% of women were between 46-50 years old, in somatic symptoms 43.8% presented severe joint pain; 25.9% moderate hot flashes and/or night sweats; In psychological symptoms, 42% presented moderate mood changes; 45.7% moderate anxiety; 38.3% moderate depression; In urogenital symptoms, 71% had slight loss of lividity; 35.2% slight increase in urination frequency and 45.7% slight vaginal dryness; pain location 61.7% presented severe back pain; 46.3% moderate neck pain; 42% mild headache; In pain perception, 45.1% presented severe burning pain and 45.7% had numbness-type pain; In the course of pain, 38.3% presented moderate continuous pain, in pain therapy 46.9% always used NSAIDs; 24.1% tramadol, 38.3% muscle relaxants; In Spearman's Rho analysis, a significant (p=000) and moderate positive correlation (rho=0.546) was observed. Conclusion. If there is a moderate positive relationship between climacteric symptoms and musculoskeletal pain in women over 45 years of age in the Jaime Yoshiyama Human Settlement, Ventanilla district.
