Publicación Acceso abierto Gestión del talento humano y desempeño laboral de las enfermeras de una institución hospitalaria, Cajamarca 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-08-09) Almengor Chávez, Ana Elizabeth; Portilla Cutire, Elsa; Angulo Angulo, Erika MelissaThe objective of this study was to determine the relationship between human talent management and nurses' job performance at a hospital in Cajamarca during the year 2025. The hypothetico deductive method was used, with a quantitative approach, an applied approach, a non-experimental design, correlational scope, and a cross-sectional approach. The sample included 202 nurses. The technique used was a survey, with two validated instruments to measure both variables. The results showed that 58.4% of staff perceived human talent management as effective, 28.2% considered it moderately ineffective, and 13.4% rated it as ineffective. Regarding job performance, 72.3% reported a high level, 16.8% a fair level, and 10.9% a low level. The correlation analysis showed positive, robust, and statistically significant relationships between human talent management and the four dimensions of job performance: task performance (Rho = 0.710; p = 0.000), contextual (Rho = 0.731; p = 0.000), proactive (Rho = 0.714; p = 0.000), and adaptive (Rho = 0.719; p = 0.000). It was concluded that there is a positive, robust, and significant relationship between human talent management and job performance (Rho = 0.722; p = 0.000), indicating that more effective management is associated with improved nursing staff performance. These findings support the need to strengthen talent management processes in hospital settings.
