Ítem Acceso abierto Job stress and performance in workers of a private occupational health company, Lima – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-28) Portocarrero Cabellos, Jeneffer Zafiro; Villarreal Zegarra, David RogelioThis study aimed to determine the relationship between stress and job performance in employees of a private Occupational Health company. A hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional method was used. A sample of 135 employees (68.9% male, 31.1% female) aged 18 to 30 years was selected. The Occupational Stress Scale (OIT – WHO) and the Job Performance Questionnaire were administered in person. The results revealed that 5.9% showed a high level of job stress, with organizational and team factors being the main source of stress (4.4%). However, 85.2% exhibited adequate job performance. It was also found that job stress correlates negatively, but weakly and significantly, with job performance (rho = -0.183; p < 0.05). It is concluded that lower levels of job stress lead to better job performance in employees of a private Occupational Health company.
