    Motivation and work performance in professional nursing staff in a national hospital level IV of metropolitan Lima, 2021

    Objective: To identify the relationship between motivation and job performance in nurses at a national level IV hospital in Metropolitan Lima. Methodology: The research will be applied in type, with a quantitative approach. The method will be hypothetical-deductive, and the design will be non-experimental, with a correlational scope. The study will be conducted from January to February 2022. The population will consist of 525 nurses, with a representative sample of 223 professionals providing care at a level IV national hospital. This sample will be obtained using the probabilistic sampling formula. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: For data collection, a survey will be applied in a single instance using the following instruments: the Work Motivation Scale (R-WAWS) and the Job Performance Questionnaire, both with Cronbach's alpha of 0.93 and 0.95, respectively. Procedures: The data collection will take place over a period of two months, from January to February 2022. Once the data is gathered, it will be organized in Excel for quality control and proper organization. It will then be exported to SPSS version 27.0 software for statistical analysis. Statistical Analysis: A correlation analysis will be applied to evaluate the relationship between the variables. Frequency tables, measures of dispersion and central tendency, and corresponding graphical representations will be developed.
