Publicación Acceso abierto Factores asociados a la adherencia al tratamiento antibiótico y calidad de vida en adultos atendidos en la botica Biofarma, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-25) Díaz Fernández, Lelis; Príncipe Muñoz, María Isadora; Collantes Llacza, Adela MarleneThe objective of this study was to establish how factors associated with adherence to antibiotic treatment relate to the quality of life of adults treated at the Biofarma pharmacy in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima. Method: Using a hypothetical-deductive study method, with a quantitative approach and a descriptive-correlational level under a non-experimental design, a questionnaire was applied to measure the study variables among 183 outpatients attended at a pharmaceutical care center. Results: It was found that 79.78% of patients did not adhere to their antibiotic treatment. Among those surveyed, 56.83% (104/183) exhibited moderately favorable factors associated with adherence to antibiotic treatment, 42.08% (77/183) exhibited favorable factors, and 1.09% (2/183) exhibited moderately unfavorable factors. Furthermore, 74.32% (136/183) of adult patients demonstrated a high level of quality of life, 24.59% (45/183) a moderately high level, and 1.09% (2/183) a moderately low level. Finally, a direct relationship was found between the factors associated with adherence to antibiotic treatment and quality of life.
