Methodology: The study will be quantitative, applied, and non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational in design. For this research, the entire population will be considered, consisting of 40 nurses from the Growth and Development Service at San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: A questionnaire to measure work stress (Maslach, 1981) and a questionnaire to measure professional competence (2018) will be used. The reliability of the Burnout Syndrome instrument is highly reliable, with a score of 0.894. The professional competencies instrument also demonstrates high reliability, with a score of 0.929. Procedures: The research will process the data through quantitative data analysis, with frequencies and percentages for the variables and dimensions. A hypothesis test will also be performed using the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test to measure the degree or strength of the relationship between the variables. Statistical Analysis: The study will process the data by identifying quantitative data, frequencies, and percentages for the variables and dimensions. The representative sample of the study will be made up of 78 caregivers. Obtained according to the application of the probabilistic sample formula. Techniques and Data Collection Instrument: Regarding the data collection technique, the so-called survey will be applied, executed in a single moment, using the instruments called Zarit Caregiver Burden Scales and Thomson Medication Adherence, which present a Cronbach's Alpha equivalent to 0.860, and 0.871 respectively. Procedures: The collection of the data obtained will be carried out for a period of 02 months. Once the data is collected, it will be organized in the Excel program for quality control and corresponding organization; later it will be exported to the SPSS software version 26.0. Methodology: The type of research will correspond to the applied one, the approach is quantitative, and the outlined design will be observational, correlational level, and cross-sectional. Population and Sample: The sample addressed corresponds to 60 geriatric patients, which was determined by a non-probabilistic method - for the convenience of the researcher. The respective tools will be applied to said sample in the period from November to December 2022. Technique and Instruments: The technique to be applied will be the survey and the respective psychometric tool corresponds to the Mini Mental State Examination Test and the Yesavage Geriatric Depression Scale, which have a reliability equivalent to 0.70 and 0.80 respectively. The sample consists of 168 users diagnosed with anxiety and/or depression who received care at the San Cosme Community Mental Health Center during the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2021, selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria set out in the research. Data collection techniques and instruments: The survey technique will be used, using 2 instruments: The PHQ - 9 (PatientHealthQuestionnaire) and the Carroll and Davidson Generalized Anxiety Disorder Detection Scale. Methodology: The study will have a quantitative approach, of an applied type, and of a non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational design. The representative sample of the study will be made up of 233 university students from the 1st and 2nd academic year, a sample obtained according to the application of the formula. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: In the data collection technique, the survey will be applied, executed in a single moment, using the instruments called the emotional regulation difficulties scale (DERS) and the post-traumatic growth inventory, the two instruments have a Cronbach's Alpha equivalent to .800, and .850 respectively. Procedures: The collection of the data obtained will be carried out for a period of 02 months. Once the data has been collected, it will be organized in Excel for quality control and corresponding organization; later it will be exported to SPSS software version 25.0. Statistical Analysis: For the descriptive and correlational evaluation, correlation and frequency tables, measures of central tendency, dispersion and graphs will be developed.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of antibiotic locking solutions in preventing hemodialysis catheter-associated bacteremia(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-11-12) Barazorda Pedraza, Nancy; Ramirez Sotelo, Karla Jazmin; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaMaterials and methods: The search was restricted to full-text articles, and the selected articles were critically reviewed using the GRADE system to identify their level of evidence. A total of 10 scientific articles were selected, of which 80% were systematic reviews and 20% were meta-analyses, all with high-quality evidence and strong recommendations. 40% (n=4/10) are from the United States, 20% (n=2/10) from China, 10% (n=1/10) from Israel, 10% (n=1/10) from Belgium, 10% (n=1/10) from Chile, and 10% (n=1/10) from the Netherlands. Results: Of the total 10 articles reviewed, 80% (8/10) (14-18;21-23) show that antibiotic lock solutions for hemodialysis catheters reduce catheter-related bloodstream infections. On the other hand, 10% (1/10) (20) concludes that the use of antibiotic lock solutions likely decreases the number of bloodstream infections associated with central venous catheters in hemodialysis patients. The other 10% (1/10) (19) claims that the use of antibiotic lock solutions will promote long-term antimicrobial resistance in the hemodialysis population. Conclusions: Antibiotic lock solutions are effective in preventing catheter-related bacteremia in hemodialysis, and will be more effective when used in conjunction with preventive measures such as handwashing, use of masks, caps, and sterile manipulation of the hemodialysis catheter.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of destete in premature infants from the incubator to the opened crib with a weight over 1600 grams and temperature over 36.4 °C(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-04) Alvarado Cuzcano, Liliana Yolanda; Puchoc Malma, Giovanna Silvia; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence related to the efficacy of weaning premature infants from an incubator to an open crib weighing more than 1600 grams and with a temperature greater than 36.5 ° C. Material and Methods: The type of study is quantitative, the review design is systematic. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 80% (n = 8/10) are randomized clinical trials and 20% (n = 2/10) are systematic reviews. According to the quality of the evidence, it was found to be high at 100%. According to the strength of recommendation, it is strong at 100%, according to the country where the research was conducted, the following correspond: Australia - New Zealand 20%, USA 70% and Italy 10%. Results: According to the review, it is evident that 100% of the articles (n = 10/10) indicate that weaning from an incubator to an open crib with a weight greater than 1600 grams and a temperature greater than 36.5 ° C is effective. Conclusion: It is concluded that the 10 scientific articles demonstrate the effectiveness of weaning premature infants from the incubator to an open crib with a weight greater than 1600 grams and a temperature greater than 36.4 ° C.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of icodextrin against glucose solutions in improving the quality and outcomes of peritoneal dialysis in diabetic patients with chronic kidney disease.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-12) Vigo Puican, Alvaro Manuel; Capuñay Huaraya, Diana; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaResults: 50% of these studies (5/10) demonstrated superiority of icodextrin over glucose solutions for the success and improvement of treatment in patients with diabetes undergoing peritoneal dialysis for chronic kidney disease, while 40% (4/10) indicated that further studies were needed to demonstrate absolute superiority of icodextrin over glucose solutions, and 10% of the articles (1/10) indicated superiority of glucose solutions over icodextrin solutions. Conclusion: Of the 10 studies, 5 resulted in demonstrating the superiority of icodextrin over glucose solutions, while 4 of them indicated a superiority of icodextrin but mentioned that further studies were needed to define the absolute superiority of this, and 1 article indicated the superiority of glucose solutions over icodextrin for patients with diabetes undergoing peritoneal dialysis for chronic kidney disease.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of negative pressure in the treatment of diabetic foot(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-27) Chucos Ortiz, Medardo Rafael; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence related to the effectiveness of negative pressure therapy in the treatment of diabetic foot. Material and method: The type of study is quantitative, the design of a systematic review, the studies were obtained from the following databases: Pubmed, Medline, Dialnet, Cochrane and Epistemonikos. Of a total of 10 studies selected from 2014 to 2020, 60% (n = 6/10) correspond to systematic reviews, 20% (n = 2/10) are equivalent to a meta-analysis and 20% (n = 2/10) to clinical trials. According to the quality of evidence, the strength of recommendation is 100% high quality. The studies were developed in countries such as the United Kingdom 20%, Poland 10%, Saudi Arabia 10%, Egypt 10%, Spain 10%, Spanish Basque Community 10%, Germany 10%, Iran 10% and China 10%. Results: According to the systematic review, it is evident that 90% (n=9/10) of the studies show that negative pressure therapy is an effective treatment, however, 10% (n=1/10) indicate that it is not effective in the treatment of diabetic foot. Conclusion: It is concluded that of the 10 scientific articles, 9 studies show that negative pressure therapy is effective, 1 study indicates that it is not effective in the treatment of diabetic foot.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of preoperative respiratory training to reduce respiratory complications in adult patients postoperative major surgery(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-22) Salcedo Mateo, Milagro Katia; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of preoperative respiratory training in preventing respiratory complications in adult patients after major surgery. Materials and methods: This is a systematic review of 10 articles selected for their effectiveness in preoperative respiratory training to reduce respiratory complications in adult patients post-major surgery, corresponding to the period 2011 to 2016. The studies are of a quantitative type and were obtained from databases such as Cochrane, Epistemonikos, Scielo, Pubmed, Uninave, and Journal of Physiotherapy. The Grade scale was applied to assess the strength and quality of the evidence. Results: According to the results of this study, by study design: 80% (8/10) were systematic reviews, 10% (1/10) were quasi-experimental, and 10% (1/10) were experimental. By quality type: 90% (9/10) were of high quality, and 10% (1/10) were of moderate quality. 100% of the articles demonstrated that preoperative respiratory training is effective in reducing respiratory complications in adult patients after major surgery. Methodology: systematic review; 10 articles from international scientific journals are considered, using GRADE evaluation to identify their level of evidence. Of 10 articles correspond; 70% systematic review, 10% quasi-experimental study, 10% descriptive cross-sectional study, 10% meta-analysis. Results: Of 10 articles reviewed; 20% (2) teamwork evaluation identifies failures and weaknesses that affect safety. 20% (2) communication is a strength to improve teamwork. 20% (2) safe surgery checklists improve compliance with safety measures. 10% (1) effective performance is key because it uses clinical guideline recommendations to encourage the use of strategies and interventions. 10% (1) educational sessions are consistent with previous research on practices to improve teamwork. 10% (1) The safety attitude that could improve the patient safety culture. 10% (1) training with simulators corrects surgical errors, improving results and patient safety. Material and Methods: The type of study is quantitative, the design of a systematic review, were obtained from the databases Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet, ProQuest, Tripdatabase, Cochrane. Of the 10 articles reviewed according to the research designs 50% (n = 5/10) are quasi-experimental, 40% (n = 4/10) are systematic reviews and the other 10% (n = 1/10) are pre-experimental. According to the quality of the evidence was found to be high at 100% and the strength of recommendation was strong at 100%, according to the country where the research was carried out, they concern Spain 50%, Chile, London, Brazil, Canada and the USA 10% each. Results: In this review it is evident that 80% (8/10) point out the effectiveness of the ergonomic educational program in reducing musculoskeletal injuries in workers in the industrial sector, so they recommend that active breaks should be applied in the workplace to preserve the health of the worker and 20% (2/10) do not show the effectiveness, likewise they suggest carrying out this type of study with more time for its application and achieve high results. Conclusion: 8 of 10 reviewed and analyzed evidences show the effectiveness of educational programs in occupational ergonomics and 2 of 10 of the investigations deny the effectiveness, because they found no benefits of the educational programs.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the forced air warming system in the prevention of hypothermia in the perioperative period(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-11-10) Guzman Ore, Ruth; Portocarrero Pavlich, Victoria Dora; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of forced air warming systems in the prevention of hypothermia during the perioperative period. Materials and methods: The systematic review includes 14 scientific articles identified in the following databases: Lilacs, Lipecs, PubMed, Medline, Ebsco, Cochrane Plus, and Scielo. Of the 14 pieces of evidence, 71% (10/14) are systematic reviews and 29% (4/14) are meta-analyses. All the studies have high evidence quality and strong recommendation strength. Results: 79% (n=11/14) of the systematically reviewed articles show that forced air warming systems are effective in preventing hypothermia during the perioperative period. 21% (n=3/14) of the reviewed articles disagree, stating that with the advent of new technologies used in active cutaneous warming systems, further research is needed to confirm systems that showed superiority when compared to forced air warming systems, as well as systems with a reduced number of studies developed so far. Conclusions: The effectiveness of forced air warming systems in preventing hypothermia during the perioperative period has been demonstrated.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the lean tool in reducing waiting time in patient care(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-26) Palacios Cuba, Liliana; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the Lean Tool in reducing patient waiting times in healthcare services. Materials and methods: A systematic, observational, and retrospective review of a quantitative nature, subjected to critical selection using the GRADE evaluation system to identify the level of evidence. The articles were found in the following databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scielo, and Epistemonikos. Among the 10 systematically reviewed articles, 20% (n=2/10) are randomized clinical trials, 40% (n=4/10) are case-control studies, and 40% (n=4/10) are cross-sectional case-control studies. The studies originate from Spain (40%), followed by Colombia (20%), Cuba (10%), Chile (10%), Brazil (10%), and Norway (10%). Results: The evidence from the reviewed articles shows that 100% (10/10) demonstrate the effectiveness of the Lean tool in reducing patient waiting times. The main impacts resulting from the application of Lean thinking include: increased productivity and efficiency of the multidisciplinary team, reduction in patient waiting times for care, improvement in service quality, increased patient satisfaction, enhanced safety for both patients and healthcare professionals, and improved staff satisfaction. Conclusion: It is concluded that all 10 reviewed scientific articles demonstrate the effectiveness of the Lean tool in reducing patient waiting times for care.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the warming of endovenous liquids to reduce hypothermia in surgical patients in the intraoperatory phase(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-04) Trejo Ramírez, Olga Silvia; Maima Coz, Mery Laura; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of intravenous fluid warming in reducing hypothermia in surgical patients during the intraoperative phase. Material and Methods: This systematic review consists of 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of intravenous fluid warming in reducing intraoperative hypothermia, which were found in the following databases: Pubmed, Scielo and Epistemonikos. They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 articles found, 60% were randomized controlled trials, 20% were systematic reviews and 20% were quasi-experimental studies. Results: Of the 10 evidences found, 90% show that warming intravenous fluids is effective in reducing intraoperative hypothermia in surgical patients and 10% show that warming intravenous fluids is not effective in reducing intraoperative hypothermia in surgical patients. Conclusions: 9 out of 10 evidences show that warming intravenous fluids is effective in reducing intraoperative hypothermia and 1 out of 10 shows that warming intravenous fluids is not effective in reducing intraoperative hypothermia.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of arterial cannulation by ultrasound versus cannulation by palpation in critically ill patients in reducing insertion time(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-07-26) Fuertes Coronado, Shirley Hayda; Marcapiña Guaygua, Evelin Noelia; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the available studies on the efficacy of arterial cannulation by ultrasound versus cannulation by palpation in critically ill patients. Materials and methods: The study responds to the quantitative approach, systematic review design, population 21 articles and the sample of 10 studies, studies were located in the Cochrane Plus, Lilacs, Pubmed, Scielo, Elsevier, Epistemonikos databases. A critical and intensive assessment of each study was performed, from which the quality of the evidence and the strength of recommendation for each study were determined through the GRADE method. Results: According to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 30% (n = 3/10) are systematic reviews, 70% (n = 7/10) are randomized controlled trials; and the articles come from the countries of the USA with 40%, Denmark 10%, India 10%, Thailand 20% and Japan 10% respectively. Finally, from the results obtained from the systematic review, of the total of 10 articles reviewed (17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26), 100% (n= 10/10) show that there is sufficient scientific evidence to suggest a statistically significant difference in the effectiveness of arterial cannulation by ultrasound versus cannulation by palpation in reducing catheter insertion time in critically ill patients. Methodology: the method that will follow the present study will be of an applied, deductive type, with a quantitative approach and its design will be non-experimental, transversal, with a correlational scope or level. The population will be made up of 50 mothers who gave birth successfully at the Ventanilla Hospital - Callao. Data collection techniques and instruments: the established population will be applied the survey technique, through closed questionnaires that allow the emotional state of the mother and the quality of care of the newborn. Both instruments were designed, validated and applied by national authors. Methodology: The study is of the Hypothetical-deductive method and is framed in the quantitative approach of the applied type with a cross-sectional correlational design. The sample will be made up of 119 nurses and nursing technicians from the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Lima. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: They will be evaluated using the "Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Scale" and the REBA Method according to the field sheet to categorize ergonomic risk. Statistical Analysis: The results obtained will be used to prepare tabulation tables by applying data filters and statistical percentages in the SPSS version 25 program. To establish the correlation between the variables, a double entry table or contingency table will be used and the CHI SQUARE (X2) statistical test will be applied. Population: It will be 93 people (57 nurses and 36 technicians) who work at the Goyeneche Hospital in Arequipa. Sample: The total sample will be the total population, that is, 93 people. Methodological design: The type of research will be applied. The method will be hypothetical deductive, cross-sectional. The design will be correlational. Instruments: To evaluate the variable: "Ergonomic risks", the questionnaire modified by Chambilla in 2019 will be applied, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha with 0.733 and for the variable: "Musculoskeletal disorders", the questionnaire created by Santamaría in 2018 will be applied, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha with 0.981. The survey will be used as a data collection technique. Methodology: The study is quantitative, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The group evaluated was 87 nursing professionals working in the aforementioned area, who responded to two questionnaires "Structured questionnaire for associated factors" and "Structured questionnaire for job satisfaction". Data collection techniques and instruments: will request permission from the corresponding areas through the coordinations and heads, likewise, the collaborators will be informed of the objective of the study, requesting their anonymous participation with prior informed consent, to collect the information through the development of the questionnaires, once the data collection is concluded, the same will be processed using SPSS statistical software version 25.
