Ítem Acceso abierto Lifestyles in elderly patients with arterial hypertension attended at the surco health center, 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-22) Puican Liza, Maria Yolanda; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethObjective: To determine the lifestyles in elderly patients with hypertension at the Surco Health Center, 2019. Materials and methods: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective study. The sample size was 120 elderly people with hypertension, non-probabilistic sampling for convenience, meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instrument used was the Nola Pende Lifestyle Profile (PEPS-I) questionnaire: Results: The lifestyles in elderly patients with hypertension at the Surco health center were that 60.8% had an unhealthy lifestyle and 39.2% had a healthy lifestyle. In the nutritional dimension it was found that 59.2% had an unhealthy lifestyle and 40.8% had a healthy lifestyle. In the dimension of exercise, 94.2% of patients had an unhealthy lifestyle and 5.8% had a healthy lifestyle. In the dimension of responsibility for health, it was found that 70% of patients had an unhealthy lifestyle and 30% of patients had a healthy lifestyle. In the dimension of stress management, it was observed that 90% had an unhealthy lifestyle and 10% had a healthy style. In the dimension of interpersonal support: 54.2% had a healthy lifestyle and 45.8% had an unhealthy style. In the dimension of self-actualization, 60% of patients had a healthy lifestyle and 40% had an unhealthy style. Conclusions: the study presented a higher percentage of unhealthy lifestyles in the dimensions of nutrition, exercise, responsibility for health and stress management.
