Ítem Acceso abierto Intraosseous access as an alternative vascular access during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-04) Sarmiento Gallardo, Alicia Milagros del Pilar; Pumaille Llamocca, Carlos Joaquín; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleObjective: To systematize the evidence on the usefulness of the intraosseous route as an alternative for emergency vascular access during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults. Material and method: The type of study was quantitative and the study design was a systematic review of 10 scientific articles found on the usefulness of the intraosseous route as an alternative for emergency vascular access during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults and they were analyzed according to the grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. The following databases were used: LILACS, PubMed, BVS, PLOS, DOAJ, Dialnet, Science, in addition to the use of academic search engines such as SciELO. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 90% (N= 9/10) demonstrate adequate intraosseous vascular accessibility, determined by the speed and success rate of insertion during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults, 60% (N= 6/10) found this technique of safe and reliable vascular access and 20% (N= 2/10) consider this technique to be easy to use after training of the professional. Conclusions: From the 10 articles reviewed, it is concluded that the intraosseous route is a useful emergency vascular access alternative during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults because it is accessible, safe and easy to use.
