    Estrategias metacognitivas y desempeño académico en estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima, 2021

    Currently, challenges are faced in the field of higher education, which seek changes that respond to the needs of the social and economic collective of nations, therefore various researchers suggest that metacognitive strategies be developed in order that the academic performance of students improve university students to optimize learning processes crucial in the training of all professionals; Given this scope, the objective of the research was to determine the relationship that exists between metacognitive strategies and academic performance in students of a Private University of Lima- 2021; To achieve this purpose, the research was applied, non-experimental, with a quantitative approach and a correlational descriptive scope; 80 postgraduate students were considered as a sample. The instrument used was the Huertas et al. questionnaire. (2014) to evaluate metacognitive strategies and to measure academic performance, the student's grade record was taken. The results show that there is a significant relationship between both variables since the significance value was p = 0.001 <0.05, thus it was also found that the Spearman coefficient is 0.658, with which it is concluded that there is a positive relationship between metacognitive strategies and academic performance.
