Publicación Acceso abierto Pensamientos rumiativos y estresores académicos en estudiantes de una universidad no estatal de Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-10) Quiñones Moscoso, Rosa Maria; Palacios Garay, Jessica PaolaThe purpose of this research was to determine how ruminative thoughts regulate emotions and how academic stress occurs when students are subjected to stressful stimuli in educational contexts. The results showed that there is a direct and significant correlation between the variables, using Spearman's Rho coefficient with a value of p 0.000 less than 0.05, therefore there is a significant relationship. According to the general objective, it is concluded that there is a relationship between both variables. The present investigation sought to determine if there was a relationship between ruminative thoughts and the academic stress of the students from a university in Lima, not from the state, during 2022. The research was of a quantitative approach of hypothetical deductive scope and nonexperimental design. The sample consisted of 105 university students from the same faculty. The instruments to be used were the Hervás Ruminative Responses Scale and the Cabanach, Valle, Rodríguez, Piñeiro and Freire Academic Stressors Scale. The results showed that there is a highly significant relationship between ruminative thoughts and academic stressors. It is considered that the dimensions of academic stressors: compulsory work, academic overload, teacher perception and perception of the subject are related to rumination.
