    Factores asociados a la hiperplasia prostática benigna en personas que acuden a la botica Mifarma del distrito de El Agustino, 2023

    Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease related to prostate cancer. Objective: To determine the factors associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia in individuals who attend the Mifarma pharmacy in the district of El Agustino, 2023. Method and Design: Deductive method, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design. The population consisted of male individuals who attended the Mifarma pharmacy in the district of El Agustino. Results: The age group with the highest percentage was 52 years and older, representing 71% (176). The highest proportion of unhealthy food consumption represented 83.1% (206). Occasional consumption of fruits and vegetables was reported by 75.4% (187). Lack of physical exercise was found in 81.9% (203). The highest proportion was patients diagnosed with obesity, representing 85.5% (212). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between pathological factors and benign prostatic hyperplasia in individuals attending the Mifarma pharmacy in the district of El Agustino (p<0.05), while no significant association was found with sociodemographic factors or lifestyle habits.
