Ítem Acceso abierto Family functionality and self-esteem in students from 3rd to 5th grade of secondary of two public educational institutions of the district of Ate Vitarte, Zone B - Lima, 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-11) Quichca Mendoza, Roxana Vanessa; Tamayo Toro, Mónica AlexandraThe goal of this research was to determine if there is a relationship between family functioning dimensions and self-esteem among students from 3rd to 5th year of secondary school in two public institutions in the Ate Vitarte district, zone B-2019. The sample included 175 students, with 50.9% females and 49.1% males. The data was collected using the FACES III Family Cohesion and Adaptability Scale and the Stanley Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory. The research design was descriptive comparative correlational with a non-experimental cross-sectional approach. A moderate and low positive correlation was found between family functioning dimensions and self-esteem (p < 0.01). It was concluded that family functionality dimensions are correlated with self-esteem.
