Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación de recetas con errores de prescripción atendidas en farmacia de sala de operación del Hospital Cayetano Heredia, marzo–mayo 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-02) Colla Trejo, Rosmel Clever; Quispe Aliaga, Mery Lourdes; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoIn many countries, including Peru, medication problems exist due to various types of prescribing errors. Hospitals, health centers, and clinics issue medical prescriptions daily, morning, noon, and night, with errors or omissions in the data, many of which unfortunately lead to medication errors. The objective of this study was to evaluate prescribing errors in prescriptions filled at the operating room pharmacy of the Cayetano Heredia Hospital from March to May 2021, using a descriptive non-experimental cross-sectional methodology, in which 528 prescriptions were evaluated. Results: 48% of prescriptions did comply with legible handwriting and prescription date, while 43% did not comply with these characteristics. Regarding the evaluation of medication-related data, 46% of prescriptions did contain the data, and 52% of prescriptions did not contain the data. The study concludes that nearly half of the medical prescriptions studied did not comply with legible handwriting or the prescription date, and that more than half of the prescriptions did not comply with providing the medication data.
