Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes about balanced nutrition in pregnant mothers who attend the Defensores de la Patria health center, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-25) Quispe Félix Díaz, Paul Eloy; Luján Torrealva, Franco SilvioThe study was descriptive, with a quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental approach. A survey was used as an instrument, consisting of 5 questions with multiple answers on balanced feeding to evaluate the knowledge of pregnant mothers and an evaluation consisting of 8 items to evaluate their type of attitude towards balanced feeding. The sample is made up of 30 pregnant mothers who are treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center, Lima 2021. According to the level of knowledge of the pregnant mothers about balanced nutrition, it was observed that 63.3% (n=19) obtained a low level of knowledge and 36.7% (n=11) presented a very low level of knowledge and in the case of attitude about a balanced diet that the 86.75% (n=26) had a very good attitude towards the topic, 10% (n=3) had an excellent attitude and 3.15% (n=1) had a good attitude regarding the level of knowledge about balanced nutrition in mothers pregnant women who are treated at the defenders of the country health center, presents a low level of 63.3%, demonstrating that pregnant mothers are unaware of the causes and consequences of poor nutrition during this stage and may cause future complications for the mother as well as for the baby and the attitude towards balanced nutrition in pregnant mothers according to age group, 45% have a very good attitude being made up of young adults, likewise according to number of children, 45.15% have very good attitude made up of new mothers.
