Ítem Acceso abierto Adherence to treatment and quality of life in people with high blood pressure living in an area of San Martin de Porres, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-04) Quispe Huamani, Maritza; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe objective was to determine the relationship between treatment adherence and quality of life in people with arterial hypertension who live in an area of San Martin de Porres, 2021. Materials and methods: This study was quantitative, its methodological design was correlational-cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 114 participants. The data collection technique was the survey and the instruments used to measure the variables were the Morisky Green Scale and the MINICHAL Questionnaire. Results: Of the 114 participants, 70.2% were female (n = 80) and their average age was 50.61 years. Regarding the general hypothesis, it was found that there is a significant relationship between adherence to treatment and quality of life (p <0.05). According to the specific hypotheses, there is a significant relationship between adherence to treatment according to its dimension of frequency of taking medications and quality of life (p<0.05) and finally, there is a significant relationship between adherence to treatment according to its dimension of mood with the evolution of the disease and quality of life (p<0.05).
