Publicación Acceso abierto Factores asociados a la adherencia terapéutica en pacientes adultos con hipotiroidismo atendidos en farmacia del centro médico Buenaventura, San Juan de Miraflores, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-03-24) Nauca Gutierrez, Yeraldin Marisol; Quispe Huauya, Percy; Ñañez del Pino, DanielThe study aimed to determine the factors associated with adherence to therapy in adults with hypothyroidism. A hypothetical-deductive approach was used, with a non-experimental design, of a quantitative, basic, cross-sectional nature and correlational level, in a group of 132 patients with hypothyroidism who were treated at the Buenaventura health center pharmacy. Specific tools were used using an adapted questionnaire designed to evaluate the associated factors, as well as the 8-item "Morisky-Green" test to measure adherence levels. The hypothesis was corroborated by the "Chi square" test. It was determined that 84.8% were 30 to 59 years old, 90.9% were female and 23% sometimes showed socioeconomic resources, in the therapy factors 47% sometimes attend scheduled check-ups, in the factors with the medical professional, 55% sometimes receive alternative medications, in the patient factors 52% always continue with their treatment, and finally in the pathology factors 29% consider that the disease is long-term, regarding adherence only 8% are adherent to drug treatment; a p-value of 0.000 and V-Cramer 0.365 were obtained. In conclusion, a moderately favorable correlation was established between the associated factors and adherence to treatment in adults with hypothyroidism.
