Physical inactivity is predominant in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), where overweight and obesity account for 5% of deaths worldwide. Furthermore, in Peru, the National Institute of Health reports that 61.9% of adults aged 18 to 59 had low physical activity levels. Sedentarism also affects sleep quality, causing disturbances, which are common among the population and have a significant impact on quality of life. Characteristics include dissatisfaction with sleep, difficulty falling or staying asleep, and problems staying awake and performing tasks during the day. In Peru, at the National Hospital Dos de Mayo, 37.62% of 101 medical interns experienced sleepiness.
