Ítem Acceso abierto Lifestyles and work performance of the nursing staff of a specialized institute in Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-28) Ramírez Valdiviezo, Nelly Rosalina; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik AnatoliThe aim of the study is to determine the relationship between lifestyles and work performance in the nursing staff of a specialized institute in Lima, 2023. The study was carried out using the hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational method. The population consisted of 161 nursing staff working in a Specialized Institute in Lima; represented by a sample of 115 nursing staff. Two ad hoc questionnaires were used, the "Lifestyle Questionnaire" to assess the lifestyles of the nursing staff and the "Job Performance Questionnaire" to evaluate job performance. The overall results indicate that 60.9% of the nursing staff have an adequate lifestyle and 39.1% have an inadequate lifestyle; 85.2% of the nursing staff have an adequate job performance and 14.8% have an inadequate job performance. A relationship was found to exist between lifestyles and work performance among the nursing staff of a specialized institute in Lima, 2023 (rho=0.956; p=0.000), which implies that the lifestyles of the nursing staff have a direct impact on their work performance; likewise, a relationship was identified between the dietary habits dimension of lifestyles and work performance (rho=0.682, p=0.000); p=0.000), between the physical activity dimension of lifestyles and work performance (rho=0.807; p=0.000), between the rest and sleep dimension of lifestyles and work performance (rho=0.415; p=0.000), between the interpersonal relations dimension of lifestyles and work performance (rho=0.415; p=0.000), and between the health responsibility dimension of lifestyles and work performance (rho=0.185; p=0.000).
