Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress and its relationship with musculoskeletal symptoms in nursing professionals of the emergency services of a public hospital of Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-17) Ramos Velasco, Jackelyn Carla; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik AnatoliThe objective of the study is to determine the relationship between work stress and musculoskeletal symptoms in nursing professionals of the Emergency Service of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, 2021. Material and method: This study presented a quantitative approach, with a basic level, of a correlational descriptive type and a non-experimental crosssectional design, and the sample was 92 nursing professionals. The survey was used as a technique and as an instrument the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Nordic Kuorinka Questionnaire, which had a reliability of Cronbach's Alpha with 0.884 for the variable work stress and 0.843 for musculoskeletal symptoms. Results: 18.48% present work stress at a low level, 59.78% present stress at a medium level and 21.74% at a high level, likewise 47.83% do not present musculoskeletal symptoms and 52.17% present musculoskeletal symptoms. Conclusions: There is a relationship between work stress and musculoskeletal symptoms in the Nursing Professionals of the Emergency Service of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, 2021, according to Spearman's correlation of 0.419, representing this result as moderate with a statistical significance of p=0.000 being less than 0.01.
