Publicación Acceso abierto Relación de valores de la urea y creatinina en los adultos mayores de la Casa Hogar San Martin de Porres: Lima, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-28) Rosado Barzola, Edith Jhovana; Ramos Villalobos, Marko Antonio; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelThis descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective, and correlational research study aimed to determine the relationship between urea and creatinine levels in older adults. The sample included 75 individuals aged 60 to 90 years. The results were: 32% of men and 16% of women had low levels. Regarding creatinine levels, 11% of women had high levels, while 5% of men had high levels. The relationship between urea and creatinine levels and gender and age was less significant (p < 0.05). The Chi Square test of independence (p value = 0.000) allows us to conclude that the levels of urea and creatinine in older adult men are related, likewise the relationship of the levels of urea and creatinine with respect to age was observed a value (p value = 0.036) which allows us to conclude that, adults between 60 and 69 years of age are related. It is concluded: The relationship that exists in the values of urea and creatinine in the elderly of the San Martin de Porres Home for Children was determined. Lima, 2018 a relationship was found in the gender factor, but no relationship was found with the age factor.
