Ítem Acceso abierto Fragility in older adults treated at the health center Carmen Alto de Comas, Lima - 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-08-14) Requelme Portal, María Rosalía; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: Determine frailty in older adults treated at the Carmen Alto de Comas Health Center, Lima-2020. Material and method: The study has a quantitative approach, descriptive and cross-sectional design. There was a population of 60 older adults who are treated at the Carmen Alto health facility in Comas. The data collection technique was the survey and the data collection instrument was the Fragile Scale, which is composed of 5 items whose statements are related to fatigue, resistance, ambulation, illness and weight loss. Results: Regarding frailty in older adults, the fragile level predominated with 26 older adults representing 43.3%, followed by the pre-frail with 22 older adults representing 36.7% and the non-frail with 12 patients who They represent 17.6%. In relation to its dimensions, in fatigue the non-frail predominated with 63.3% (n=38), in resistance the fragile predominated with 56.7% (n=34), in ambulation the fragile predominated with 60% ( n=36), in disease the non-frail predominated with 85% (n=51) and finally in weight loss the non-frail predominated with 65% (n=39). The most affected dimension was ambulation with a frequency of frailty of 60% (n=36). Conclusions: Regarding frailty in older adults, the fragile level predominated. Regarding its dimensions, the dimension that obtained the highest frequency in fragility was ambulation.
