Ítem Acceso abierto Anemia as a risk for psychomotor development in children under five years old(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-04) Revilla Mamani, Katty Yovana; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethObjective: Systematize the evidence about the risk of anemia that produces alterations in the psychomotor development of boys and girls under five years of age. Materials and Methods: Systematic review [SR], in a sample of 10 scientific publications, with a history of no more than five years and that responded to international and national published titles, in Spanish and English. Results: In this study, 10 articles were selected, where it is found that 60% (06/10) correspond to Colombia, Paraguay, Cuba, Peru, and Spain, while with 40% (04/10) we find Chile and Mexico, respectively. Mostly cross-sectional analytical studies have been studied with 40%, in Colombia, Argentina, Cuba and Paraguay, Peru with 10% contributed 1 quasi-experimental study, Cuba with 10% contributed 1 case and control study, Chile with 10% contributed 1 cohort study, Mexico with 10% contributed 1 randomized study respectively. Spain and Chile with 20% provided cross-sectional descriptive studies. Conclusions: The study concluded that anemia affects the psychomotor development of boys and girls under five years old, affecting their growth and learning.
