    Systematic Review: Nutritional Treatment of hyperphosphatemia in patients with CKD in Replacement Therapy.

    Introduction: Chronic kidney disease has become a public health problem that affects 10% of the Peruvian population. Hyperphosphatemia is related to a high risk of death from cardiovascular disease in patients with CKD; For this reason, it is of utmost importance to initiate therapeutic strategies to reduce serum concentrations of this electrolyte. The main objective of this research work is to demonstrate that nutritional treatment is effective in reducing hyperphosphatemia levels in patients with CKD on replacement therapy. Type and design: Bibliographic review. Population and sample: 17 scientific articles. Data collection procedure: Data search in Scielo, Dialnet, Google scholar, Pubmed, Medline, and Academia.edu. Analysis technique: Evaluation of validity, quality, strength of recommendation of scientific evidence and usefulness of the findings. Discussion: 64.7% of the scientific articles reviewed demonstrated a significant reduction in blood phosphorus levels after some type of nutritional intervention. 35.3% showed that there were no significant results or no results. The results improved when the intervention was carried out individually (nutritional counseling) compared to educational sessions that were carried out in groups.
