    Knowledge in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in nurses who work in the intensive care unit of a public hospital in Lima 2020

    Objectives: Determine the knowledge in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in nurses who work in the intensive care unit of a Public Hospital in Lima. Materials and Methods: Quantitative approach, following a descriptive model and cross section. The results will help the service heads and ICU care nurses of a public hospital to propose a process of continuous improvement in the prevention of VAP, and the beneficiaries will be the nurses and especially the patients. The population under study will be made up of all nurses who work in the intensive care unit of a Public Hospital in Lima who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instrument to be used will be a questionnaire with 9 questions, measuring them on three scales as follows: high (7 to 9)), medium (4 to 6), low (1 to 3) The data will be entered into Excel 2019 where they will be coded and the reliability will be carried out using Richerson's K, subsequently the statistical software SPSS version 26 will be used to capture them in graphs and tables for interpretation, writing of conclusions
