Ítem Acceso abierto Resilience and parental stress in parents of children with distance education from an Educational Institution in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, 202(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-28) Ricra Pichilingue, Denisse Aurora; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThis research aimed to determine the relationship between resilience and parental stress in parents of children receiving distance education in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. It was conducted using a quantitative, basic, descriptive-correlational approach with a non-experimental design, and included a sample of 117 parents of children aged 5 to 12 years from a private educational institution. The Resilience Scale (adapted by Castilla et al., 2016) and the Parental Stress Index (adapted by Sánchez, 2015) were used. The results revealed no significant relationship between resilience and parental stress (rho = 0.073; p > 0.05). It was concluded that the personality traits that moderate the negative effects of stress and promote adaptation do not necessarily relate to parents' behaviors when facing their children's demands. In other words, parental stress may arise from various parenting situations, and resilience does not necessarily intervene in this process.
