    It is projected that by 2050, the number of older adults will increase exponentially, and a significant number will require interventions at all levels of healthcare. Muscle strength, load capacity, and flexibility decrease in older adults; for example, in Colombia, nearly 70% of older adults show a reduction in strength and flexibility. Another study in Peru showed similar figures, with more than 70% of older adults having reduced flexibility in the lower limbs.
